Two years after Uniphos Envirotronic Pvt. acquired MSA, the manufacturer of the reputable KwikDraw gas detection tubes, business continues to grow in North America. The transition that began in January of 2014 is complete, and inventory is available from the Uniphos Americas office in Sugar Land, Texas.
How it all began with MSA
In 2014, Uniphos Envirotronic Pvt. Ltd. announced its acquisition of the colorimetric detector tube business from MSA Auer GmbH, Germany, a subsidiary of MSA, based in the USA. The acquisition included the transfer of all the equipment, plants and machineries, facilities and the technical know-how and literature connected with the manufacture of colorimetric detector tubes, pumps and other related products from MSA to Uniphos.
In addition to its own line of gas detector tubes, Uniphos began producing tubes using MSA’s specifications and technology. Both types of tubes are manufactured in India and distributed world-wide.
Value of KwikDraw gas detector tubes
The highly sensitive KwikDraw tubes are designed for evaluation of the potential presence of ultra-toxic chemical substances in the air. They are a reliable method of spot testing for more than 200 hazardous gases and vapors.
The 7-mm diameter tubes are used with a Bellows hand pump. The tubes are pre-calibrated, take only a few minutes to complete sampling, and the concentration is read directly from the length of color stain.
KwikDraw in the Americas
When Uniphos Envirotronic opened an office in Sugar Land, Texas near Houston in May of 2015, the KwikDraw tubes became an integral piece of the business. The gas detector tubes and pump were immediately in high demand.
